Dr Sharon Ong graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2008 and spent her early years of training in various hospitals in NSW before pursuing General Practice training in Singapore. As a board-certified Family Physician in Singapore, she worked in government-based GP clinics where she was actively and independently managing patients as well as involved in mentoring medical students. Dr Ong believes in the importance of providing the best medical care for patients by encouraging open communication, remaining current with the latest best practice and taking the time to listen and understand the unique needs of each patient.
Dr Ong has more than ten years’ experience in general practice with special interest in chronic disease management, preventive health, mental health and minor procedures. She is also a member of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has recently been admitted into the College’s specialist pathway program.
Dr Ong lives in Bayside Melbourne. In her spare time, Dr Ong enjoys volunteering in her local community, baking and spending time running along the Bayside picturesque trails. Dr Ong looks forward to contributing her expertise to our community and helping you achieve your best possible health.
